This is the sixth week of the first term that I went through this year. There have been many changes and adjustments that occurred since I started this degree class. Living abroad taught me that adaptation is difficult, but the more time passes, the more familiar the new world we have. In this term I get 02(two) modules, which include Future Fashion Innovators and Future Proof Development Planning. Future Fashion Innovators takes six months long to study, while Future Proof Development Planning will run for 04(four) terms as a place to help us shape our future careers.
In the Future Fashion Innovators class, what I first learned was about freedom. Here I can choose a topic that suits my desires without any limitation given by the lecturer. Then I realized that freedom would encourage students to do their projects with the maximum ability they have. Choosing topics that suit with student's desires can make them more interested in exploring and getting deeper information. Weekly submissions make students improve their time management skill where we have an obligation to collect assignments to be checked by the lecturer routinely. By checking, we can find out where the error and can fix it again.
For this subject, I chose to create a promotion campaign for local Indonesian brand called Artfy the label. Here I learn about many things including the preparations that must be done before conducting the promotion campaign. First of all, we must make a hypothesis supported by assumption, which is an explanation based on evidence as a direction for our future investigation. Analysis of Indonesia's country and fashion industry is important since it will ensure that the current situation is developing, making the promotion campaign a good step to take for a business. Besides that, I also look for more in-depth information about the brand directly from the owner. This is useful to determine what type of promotion is suitable to be made and what themes will be raised to promote this brand.
While in the Future Proof Development Planning class, I was trained to start blogging as a forum to convey the feelings and ideas that I have to be shed as a works that can be enjoyed by many people. Here I find who I am, what I want to do for now and in the future, and the goals that I will achieve for the following years. Through this blog, I can showcase the best works I've ever made during school, which is useful for preparing my future career. Portfolio will show your character, which makes the difference between you and others.
From all the modules that I'm currently working on, both will sharpen my hard skill and soft skill. My time management has gradually improved which makes me able to post blog every single week consistently. Having the ability to search for information in depth gives me a lot of inspiration and ideas fro creating a varied blog post to present to the reader. And the last one, freedom will make you honest with yourself and find your true identity.
