It’s almost the end of term 3. It feels like time is running so fast!!!!! This term feels like a roller coaster ride to me. I felt quite tired and learned many things, especially about time management. This is because I get 3 modules for this term where usually I only get 2. Just like the last term, I still consistently write blogs, create many portfolios and improve my skills for my future career. In this module I also started to prepare whatever is needed for the future since in a few months I will graduate. One of the most important things is to fix and update my Curriculum Vitae. In fact, there are a lot of things that I need to change from my previous CV where at this time I have more information included and elaborated. It is very important because we need to have our own characteristics that differentiate us from other people and highlight our abilities. This will make it easier for us to adjust which company is suitable and match with our skill so that later we can work optimally.
I also got the Global Experience module. Supposedly in this module, my classmates and I will go to a country (it can be anywhere that we want as long as all the class member agreed) and learn more about the history, art, culture and fashion. Very interesting isn’t it? But due to the Covid19, the trip had to be canceled and we were only doing research. Even so, I still like this module because it doesn't feel like a big headache. I chose South Korea because basically I am very interested in their culture and now Korean fashion has started to be seen by the world. Having a dream to become a fashionpreneur who will have my own clothing brand, Seoul is the most appropriate country to visit because they have many local brands with very interesting concept stores. I can learn about visual merchandising and also how to design a store attractively so that it can attract many customers since in this current time, Instagrammable places are highly sought after and needed by young people.
The last module that I got was the Future Fashion Project, which was the most challenging module for me. The schedule is so busy and the number of tasks that must be submitted every week makes me have to be able to manage my time well. I had to do a lot of research and it somehow it somehow made my eyes really tired all the time after working on this module. At first, I imagined if this module would be very difficult to get through, but here I am now. I almost finished the whole business plan, although there were some parts that had to be added and revised.Interestingly, this final project gave me different knowledge and experience from the final project during my diploma. In the past I was required to make clothes, but now we are very free to do anything and that's why I decided to make bodycare. During this Covid19, the sales of clothes will decline, but people will still buy primary needs that are needed daily, such as body wash.
Overall, this term is the most memorable for me. I need to reduce my playtime because I have the responsibility to use the time properly to do the existing assignments. But luckily due to Covid19, we have to reduce activities outside the home and somehow make me more productive to do this task. Even though it felt tiring, I am glad and proud of what I had done so far!!
