Welcome to our first meeting
First of all, I want to introduce myself to you before starting all the journeys. My name is Safira Dara Larasati, but you can call me Lila in short. I am the second child in a family of three children (one older brother and one younger sister). I am a 20 years old student majoring in International Fashion Business at Raffles Design Institute, Singapore.
It took me a long time to be able to adjust to the new environment and new peoples. But I can be the craziest, most excited, and cheerful person around someone I’ve known for a long time. I love to spend the day in bed, listening to songs, watching movies, and shopping online.
When did I found out my passion for fashion?
My interest in fashion has gradually grown since I was in elementary school. As a little girl who likes to play with barbie, I was happy to mix and match styles and found beauty in various types of clothes designs. My grandmother is also a designer. For a long time, excitement always grew every time I saw grandma doing her things passionately with her magical hand.
Along the way, I realized that fashion is not just becoming a fashionable person by using all branded stuff from head to toe that made by very well-known international designers. We can even create our fashion, where everyone will have different styles from one to another. Fashion is to be comfortable using what you wear to express yourself freely.
What is my future goal?
In the future, I want to be a fashionpreneur. That is the main reason why I am taking a major in the fashion business. I often experience disappointment for the quality of goods, product prices that are too expensive, and the most important one is many designs that cannot be found in Indonesia.
Later, I want to create, manage, and sell my fashion brand, where the design will be adjusted according to my personal style. Those will also be balanced by examining the Indonesian market trends to make a product that the local community loves itself. For the primary goal, I want to contribute to advancing the fashion industry in Indonesia.
