Fashion Revolution is a global movement to increase transparency in the fashion supply chain. Fashion Revolution was created in response to the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh, which killed more than 1000 peoples on 24thApril 2013. This movement runs all year long with more than 100 countries around the world participating. “We want to unite people and organizations to work together towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed, so that our clothing is made in a safe, clean and fair way” is the main mission of Fashion Revolution. 2015 was the second time that Fashion Revolution Day was held where the “#WhoMadeMyClothes” hash tag has become the number one trend on Twitter, making this movement even more well known and growing.

The Fashion Revolution brings a good impact and play important role to the fashion industry. By having a better understanding about the process of making clothes, we can improve the lives of the workers who work behind it. The amount of clothing waste that the world has now pushes us to hone our creativity and skills to be able to recycle used clothes into wearable clothes that still keep up with the trend so we can make a difference for the world and fashion industry itself. Each small step from each individual will create a big impact in the future.

Corona outbreaks hit the entire world in the beginning of 2020. Singapore Fashion Revolution Week, which was supposed to be held at the Straits Clan, must move online now. But still the event must go on and technological sophistication at this time can be very helpful, right? For this Future Proof Development Planning class, all my classmates and me decide to help the running of this Singapore Fashion Revolution Week. For the very task given is very focused on social media content in the form of poster and banner. We are divided into 3 teams where each team has 3 members. This time, I made 3 posters that consist of 2 countdown days and 1 give away poster to be uploaded on Instagram post.

From this task I learned many things. Photoshop skills are highly honed to be able to make posters that are look nice, interesting and in accordance with the theme. Moreover, communication between one member and another must be done well so that we can create poster that are always in rhythm. But this task is very interesting since I always like things related to editing and Photoshop. I also decided to help my friend from other group to complete their task. What I like in making posters for Fashion Revolution Week is because they have already provided clear brief and complete resources that we can use to experiment with our creativity without exceeding the specified limits. This event also made me realize that teamwork is not an easy thing but it is very fun to go through.

Below are some of the posters that I made for the Fashion Revolution Week's First Task
